The Fire This Time
About The Film
Directed by Blair Doroswalther and Produced by Yoruba Richen. The Fire This Time tells the story of a group of young African-American lesbians who were threatened and attacked in the West Village of New York City. They defended themselves and were consequently charged and convicted to harsh prison sentences. The film gives voice to their story as well as highlights the larger issues of discrimination in our media and the criminal justice system.
